Originally hailing from Brownsville, Texas, we've been privileged to have Ricardo Cuevas at our Atlanta warehouse for 19 years.
Always energetic and ready to go the extra mile, Ricardo has been a linchpin for Regency's fulfillment efforts, exemplifying our core values – Relationship, Integrity, Service, and Expertise – daily.
Many have come and gone in Ricardo's 19 years with us, but it's the friendships he's formed that he values the most about his job. "As we get to know each other, it makes the job better, more enjoyable," he says. "I like to get to know the people I work with."
One way he goes about those introductions is through bestowing the fruits of one of his hobbies – art. Indeed, he's known for more than just his hard work in the warehouse.
Soon after relocating from Los Angeles to join our Retrofit Management team in Atlanta, Alison Mathis got a taste of Ricardo's friendliness when he presented her with a couple of pieces of art that now take residence near her desk. That's just a part of getting acclimated in Atlanta. A quick glance at the cubicles around the office and it's hard not to notice Ricardo's work everywhere.
Atlanta Warehouse Manager George Panga described Ricardo's approach to his job as "consistent." One unique area that can be seen is in his attire.
In his 19 years as a Regency employee, Ricardo has worn shorts to work every day but one – his first day on the job. Even on Jan. 30, 2014, otherwise known by Atlantans as the 'Snowpocalypse.'
Whether in personifying our values, befriending new employees, or daily outfit selection, Ricardo's consistency is inspiring to so many at Regency.
