"Fighting fires, helping to guide decisions, facilitating conversations, and creating expectations with her external and internal customers" is what encompasses a typical, and hectic, day in Heather Grose's role as Purchasing Supervisor, at least according to her boss, Director of Procurement Brad Newbold. Yet, she dives right in and "rolls up her sleeves" to live in it with her team. And she does it all with a smile on her face.
Heather started with Regency in October 2013 as a Purchaser and has quickly been promoted to Purchasing Supervisor where she manages all transactions related to the procurement of product from our vendors.
"Heather noticed that there was an opportunity to do a better job following up with orders not making PO minimums, and took it upon herself to facilitate a conversation with the CSR leadership team in an effort to find a team oriented solution," Brad said when speaking about Heather's role. "Heather manages back orders, rush requests, pricing discrepancies, and product changes seamlessly so the customer experience is consistently above expectations."
"When I stepped into a leadership role in Purchasing," Heather said, "we had many new people on the team and were navigating a lot of process and staffing changes. I was so grateful to have the opportunity to work with a team that was so motivated to accomplish everything that needed to be done, flexible to wear a number of different hats, and passionate about building relationships inside and outside of Regency."
Regency is clearly lucky to have Heather as a supervisor in a department that manages a supplier base of several thousand manufacturers. She exudes our core values daily.
