This past year has been an incredible period of growth and innovation at Regency Lighting. In celebration of our amazing clients and what our team has accomplished in 2015, we wanted to share a few highlights.
1. Record sales year
We owe a big thank you to our customers, our sales team, and our support staff for making this an exceptional year of growth for us. The complexity of making lighting decisions is significant, but there is also more value for our clients than ever with potential energy savings, easier maintenance, and new innovations. We stand by our commitment to help make lighting decisions as easy as possible.
2. Acquisition of electrical wholesale distributor AllSale Electric
Another major update: our expansion into the full-line electrical wholesale business back in August. The acquisition of AllSale Electric –– located in Canoga Park, California –– is the first step in enabling Regency to serve wider needs of our customers. Specifically, we are excited to see how the complementary addition of electrical parts, materials, and gear to our lighting services will translate into opportunity for our new construction and retrofit clients.
3. More than 135,000 Customer Service cases resolved
Great customer service is mission-critical for us. Our core values (R.I.S.E.) are more than words to put on a poster or an About page. They are guiding principles that grew out of the way we do business at Regency. Our Customer Service team at Regency works tirelessly to ensure that each customer interaction is consistent with those values. Year-to-date, we've helped to solve more than 135,000 customer inquiries.
4. Major infrastructure upgrade
You may not see this from the outside, but our hard-working Information Services & Technology team completed a huge "under the hood" upgrade of Regency's technology infrastructure. What does this mean for you? Our hope is that your experience with Regency will continue to get better, faster, and easier.
5. RegencyLighting.com update
On a more noticeable level, we updated our website in June. Our goal here was simple: provide an easy-to-navigate, mobile-friendly, beautiful web experience. This is only the first step on a list of planned upgrades, so we're excited for what 2016 holds.
6. Lighting Insights blog launch
In supporting our mission of making lighting easier, we launched our Lighting Insights blog in 2015. Our goal with the blog is to answer common customer questions and provide inspiration to our readers. As of this post, we've published 39 articles ranging from how to choose the right LED products to updates on lighting-related legislation to tips for getting the most from your existing lighting and beyond. 7. Growth to 346 team members
With the sales growth of 2015 came a need to invest in our staff. Our Human Resources and Recruiting teams have been working hard to build our exceptional team, and we are now up to a total of 346 employees. We will continue to invest in our employees through training, resources, and tools like Regency Lighting University.
8. 'RISE in Action' and 'Growing Together' video series launch
In celebration of our staff and our culture, 2015 also held the launch of our "RISE in Action" and "Growing Together" video series. We appreciate each person that has contributed to making Regency what it is today, and we love to honor the people who exemplify our core values.
While 2015 was a big year, we are excited to see what 2016 has in store. We will continue to focus on getting better every day and delivering on our promises. Thanks for the opportunity to serve you!
